🚀 AI Software Development Engineer | Remote UK | Permanent - £70K
An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced AI Software Development Engineer to join a growing technology business building innovative AI-powered software solutions.
This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys taking ideas from concept through to production — experimenting with emerging AI technologies, proving new concepts, and turning successful prototypes into real-world products.
You’ll work closely with engineering, product and wider business teams to design and deliver AI capabilities that create genuine impact for customers.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing and building AI-driven features and integrations
- Developing LLM-powered solutions, including RAG pipelines, agentic workflows and AI tooling
- Working with Azure AI services to build scalable production solutions
- Monitoring and improving AI systems across performance, reliability and cost
- Contributing to architecture decisions and the future technical roadmap
- Taking ownership of delivery from initial idea through to deployment

What we’re looking for:
- Strong commercial experience building software solutions using C# and .NET
- Proven experience delivering AI-enabled applications in production environments
- Hands-on experience with LLM technologies, including Azure OpenAI and/or similar platforms
- Experience with RAG, agentic AI patterns, prompt engineering and AI integrations
- Strong Microsoft Azure experience (Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Functions, App Services)
- Understanding of modern software engineering practices, APIs, CI/CD and DevOps

Experience with technologies such as Semantic Kernel, vector databases, Python-based AI tooling or LLM observability platforms would be highly beneficial.
