A leading technology company developing cutting-edge test & measurement solutions for global networks is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (C/C++) to join its growing R&D team. - Design, develop, and maintain complex backend software solutions with full end-to-end ownership
- Translate high-level requirements into scalable, maintainable system designs
- Contribute to system architecture and ongoing product evolution
- Develop high-quality, performant software to agreed timescales
- Collaborate closely with product owners and cross-functional teams
- Support testing and quality-focused activities to ensure excellent product delivery
- Mentor and support junior engineers within the team
Key Skills & Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar
- 5+ years’ experience in software development
- Strong C/C++ programming and object-oriented design skills
- Experience working in a Linux environment (GNU tools such as gcc, gdb)
- Network programming and multithreading experience
- Python programming knowledge
- Proven ability to break down complex problems and deliver solutions
- Experience mentoring or supporting other engineers
- Strong communication and collaboration skills

Desirable Experience
- CI/CD pipeline development (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- High-performance or real-time systems development
- DPDK experience
- Docker and containerisation
- Cloud technologies (AWS, Terraform)
- JavaScript knowledge
