Senior Software Engineer / Developer (C#.Net) Newcastle to £120k

Opportunity to join a rapidly growing Fintech that is building sophisticated technology for the global investment management industry. Backed by significant funding and working alongside leading hedge fund partners, the company is solving complex engineering problems at scale and is investing heavily in the continued evolution of its core platform.

This is an opportunity for an intellectually curious C# Software Engineer to join a high-calibre team where technical excellence is valued and engineers are trusted to influence architecture, design and product direction.

As a senior member of the engineering team, you will design and develop business-critical backend services using modern C# and.Net, working on distributed systems that process large volumes of data with demanding performance and reliability requirements. You'll be involved throughout the software lifecycle, from technical design and architecture through to implementation, optimisation and production delivery, collaborating closely with colleagues who share a passion for building elegant, robust software.

About you:

  • You have achieved a minimum 2.1 BSc in Computer Science or similar technical discipline from a top tier / Russel Group university, backed by A's at A-level
  • You have expertise with modern C# and .Net development
  • You have a strong knowledge of software architecture, distributed systems and engineering best practices
  • You have a deep understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design and system design
  • You have a collaborative approach and a genuine enthusiasm for solving difficult technical problems
  • You're able to take ownership of significant technical initiatives and influence engineering direction
