Senior Software Engineer (Angular) | Hybrid in Nottingham (3 days p/w in office) | Up to £85,000 + Benefits

About the Opportunity: Our client is a leading technology organisation delivering innovative SaaS solutions that help businesses streamline operations, improve decision-making, and drive performance across HR, payroll, finance, and learning functions.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of a modern cloud-based platform while working alongside talented engineers in a collaborative, Agile environment.

The Role: As a Senior Software Engineer, you will take ownership of complex features and contribute to the technical direction of market-leading software products. You will bring strong front-end expertise in Angular and TypeScript, helping to design and deliver scalable, high-quality applications. You'll work on challenging technical problems, contribute to architectural decisions, and leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deliver complex front-end features using Angular and TypeScript Contribute to technical architecture and engineering best practices Champion code quality through testing, code reviews, and continuous improvement Utilise AI-assisted development tools to enhance efficiency and software quality Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders across the business Identify and mitigate technical risks and dependencies Support and mentor other engineers, helping to strengthen team capability Drive accessibility, performance, scalability, and customer value across products

Skills & Experience

Essential: Strong commercial experience with Angular and TypeScript Advanced programming, testing, and debugging skills Experience delivering complex, scalable software solutions Strong understanding of software architecture and modern development practices Experience working within Agile environments Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence

Desirable: Exposure to back-end technologies such as .NET or Java Understanding of security, deployment practices, and distributed systems Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools
