About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer (C/C++) to join our growing team. You'll become part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary product development environment where engineering works closely with Product, Marketing, and Sales to transform customer and market requirements into innovative, high-performance networking solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building highly performant software and taking ownership of features from design through to delivery. Working within a small, agile team, you'll have the opportunity to influence architecture, drive innovation, and deliver industry-leading software in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain complex backend software solutions, taking full ownership of features from concept through deployment.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners and cross-functional teams to translate high-level requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Contribute to the architecture and evolution of system software, ensuring scalability, performance, flexibility and maintainability.
  • Produce realistic development estimates and deliver high-quality software within agreed timescales.
  • Develop efficient, reliable and maintainable C/C++ software for Linux-based systems.
  • Support testing, quality assurance and continuous improvement activities to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Mentor and support other software engineers, encouraging best practices and continuous learning.
  • Participate in technical discussions, code reviews and architectural decision-making.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
