This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Frontend - Upload & Stream Team based in United Kingdom.
As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in frontend development, you will contribute to building reliable, scalable, and intuitive digital experiences for a rapidly growing technology product. You will work on complex user-facing challenges, designing and implementing features that improve performance, usability, and overall product quality. Collaborating with talented engineers and product specialists, you will have ownership over impactful projects while helping shape technical decisions and development practices. This role is ideal for an experienced frontend engineer who values simplicity, reliability, and elegant solutions. You will join a remote-first environment where small, focused teams have a strong influence on product evolution and user impact.
Accountabilities
- Develop and deliver high-quality frontend features, interfaces, and interactions across web-based products.
- Design and implement user interfaces, application logic, and scalable solutions to support both new and existing functionality.
- Collaborate closely with product designers and engineers to create intuitive, user-friendly experiences.
- Improve system reliability, performance, and scalability as products and user needs continue to grow.
- Participate actively in technical discussions, architecture decisions, and engineering process improvements.
- Review code and provide constructive feedback while maintaining strong development standards across the team.
- Explore emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve workflows, tools, and product capabilities.
- Contribute to a collaborative engineering culture focused on ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements
- Several years of professional experience in frontend software engineering, with a strong track record of building production-level applications.
- Strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern ECMAScript standards.
- Advanced knowledge of React and experience with major state management solutions.
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture, UI development, and user experience principles.
- Experience working with CSS preprocessors such as LESS or SASS.
- Familiarity with backend technologies, including Node.js, REST APIs, and relational or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with modern development tools and technologies such as TypeScript, MobX, AWS, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and continuous deployment workflows.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on creating reliable, polished, and user-friendly products.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take ownership, move quickly, and deliver high-quality results.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-directed, analytical, and comfortable collaborating within a distributed team environment.
