The Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to join an ambitious and rapidly growing technology SME at an exciting stage of its journey. With a reputation for delivering innovative, mission-critical solutions to Government and Defence customers, the business is continuing to expand its engineering capability to support a growing portfolio of programmes and digital transformation initiatives being deployed across the UK public sector.
Working at the forefront of secure technology, data, and AI-driven innovation, you'll play a key role in developing solutions that help Government organisations make faster, smarter, and more informed decisions. The work is meaningful, technically challenging, and directly contributes to some of the UK's most important operational and strategic programmes.
Unlike larger organisations where you can become one of many, this environment offers the opportunity to have genuine influence. You'll work closely with highly skilled engineers, architects, and technical leaders, helping shape products, technical direction, and delivery approaches whilst building solutions that have a real-world impact.
For candidates looking to establish a career within the secure Government and Defence sector, this is also an excellent opportunity to obtain Security Clearance (SC) if not already held, opening doors to some of the UK's most exciting and high-profile technology programmes.
About The Environment
You'll be joining a highly collaborative and technically driven team delivering secure, innovative software solutions that support the evolving needs of Government and Defence organisations. The work spans complex operational environments, advanced data platforms, AI-enabled capabilities, and modern cloud architectures, providing plenty of opportunity to work with new technologies while solving genuinely challenging problems.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
