Senior Software Engineer – Golang / Java
Location: Burgess Hill, UK
Employment Type: Contract (Inside IR35)
Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days/week onsite)
Role Overview
Seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Golang and Java to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and microservices. The ideal candidate will have experience in distributed systems, REST APIs, cloud-native development, and event-driven architectures.

- 10+ years of overall software engineering experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Golang and Java development.
- Strong knowledge of OOP, data structures, and design patterns.
- Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Good understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and distributed systems.
- Experience with Git and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures is preferred.
