We are looking for someone to join the team in the next 3 months.
What you’ll do
- Drive development of a decision making system powered by reinforcement learning
- Build and grow the software engineering team and function at Solvo.ai, delivering SaaS products to our customers.
- Collaborate closely with product and commercial teams to ensure ongoing product-market fit in an agile environment.
- Communicate effectively with customers to seamlessly integrate our products into their systems and processes.
- Design and implement customer-facing RESTful APIs and guide the development of data integration.
- Take ownership of defining, scoping, and prioritising technical features.
- Develop an external ecosystem integration approach with third-party products, as needed.
- Conduct code reviews and participate in collaborative problem-solving sessions to ensure highest code quality and adherence to established engineering practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in AI/ML knowledge and related technologies, evaluating their potential applications to enhance our products and services.
- Lead the integration of security standards into the software development lifecycle.

What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in professional software engineering, with strong knowledge of coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, and testing.
- Proficiency in Python, Git, etc., with a solid foundation in software engineering principles.
- Experience in developing RestFul APIs at scale.
- Strong background in building scalable, reliable architectures.
- Experience in cloud computing environments such as GCP, Vertex AI, etc.
- Proven track record of designing, developing, and delivering complex software solutions, preferably in the SaaS industry.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools for version control, continuous integration, and deployment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus Points
- Mentoring and guiding junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence.
- Experience in building data ETL pipelines and systems.
- Experience in building large distributed systems.
- Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Previous leadership experience or demonstrated ability to lead a team of engineers.
- In-depth knowledge of information security standards and frameworks, especially ISO-27001.
