Senior Software Engineer (Backend/ML Systems)

We’re looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer to join a fast-growing AI Engineering team based in London. This small, high-ownership team embraces a genuine startup culture, supported by a major global organization. Their mission is to develop AI-driven technology with measurable real-world impact on how large-scale infrastructure is designed and built.

This is a hands-on backend role, suited for someone who can:
- Own software systems end to end
- Move across the stack and ship production-grade solutions in a fast-moving environment
Requirements
- Strong Python expertise with practical experience in FastAPI, Flask, or Django
- Proven ability to deploy and monitor ML models in production
- Solid Docker and containerization experience
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, specifically GitHub Actions
- Background in startups or scaleups with real ownership and lean-team collaboration
- Willingness to adapt quickly across the stack, avoiding a narrow specialty

Nice to Have
- Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform)
- Azure cloud experience
- Understanding of GPU/CPU workload optimization
