Senior Software Engineer

Location: Remote-First - 2x/month onsite, Oxfordshire.

Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: Up to £100k base + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Working across the full stack, you'll collaborate with Product, Data, and Engineering teams to transform ambitious ideas into reliable, elegant, and high-performing software.

About You

You might be a great fit if you've already built experience in areas such as:

  • Developing scalable backend applications using technologies such as Java, C#, Go, Python, or similar.
  • Working with modern frontend frameworks such as React or equivalent technologies.
  • Designing and supporting distributed systems in cloud-based environments.
  • Building solutions that balance performance, reliability, security, and maintainability.
  • Using operational data, metrics, and experimentation to drive engineering decisions.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
  • Navigating ambiguity and making sensible technical trade-offs.
  • Supporting, mentoring, or leading other engineers.

Experience with any of the following would be beneficial, although not essential:

  • AWS or other major cloud platforms
  • SQL and NoSQL databases
  • GraphQL
  • Kafka or event-driven architectures
  • Docker and Kubernetes
  • AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor, Codex, Claude, or similar
  • Building internal tools, frameworks, or engineering accelerators
