Principal & Senior Software Engineers (MCP)

📍Remote | must be based in the UK or Ireland
🪪No visa sponsorship offered

We're working with a technology-led organisation building the next generation of AI-enabled platform capabilities and are looking to add both a Principal Software Engineer and a Senior Software Engineer to a brand-new team focused on Model Context Protocol (MCP) development.

This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of software engineering, AI agents, LLMs, and platform architecture. You'll help build the infrastructure that enables AI systems to securely interact with real-world products, services, and data. The team is creating a suite of MCP servers that act as trusted gateways between AI agents and core business platforms, helping shape how AI-powered applications are built and used in production environments.

What you'll be working on

  • Building and scaling MCP servers that expose platform capabilities to AI agents and developer tooling.
  • Designing secure APIs, authentication, authorisation, and session management.
  • Working with modern AI tooling, agent frameworks, LLM integrations, and MCP SDKs.
  • Developing highly reliable, observable, and secure services.
  • Contributing to architecture, technical standards, and engineering best practices.
  • Solving complex problems in a fast-moving, emerging area of software engineering.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
