I’m helping WorldAssist Consulting find a top candidate to join their team full-time for the role of Senior Software Engineer (Only UK).
You will architect scalable software solutions by leading complex technical consulting engagements.
Compensation: EUR 45 - 55/hour.
Location: Remote (for UK residents)

Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead development efforts and interface directly with our clients. You will serve as a technical anchor, translating complex business requirements into robust, scalable applications while guiding client stakeholders through the technical roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.
- Lead client-facing meetings to gather requirements and present technical roadmaps.
- Consult with external stakeholders to align technical architecture with business goals.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.
- Drive best practices in CI/CD, testing, and system design across projects.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Prior IT consulting experience working across diverse client environments.
- Strong client-facing skills with a proven ability to communicate technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
- B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Must be a resident of an EU member country (required due to specific project mandates).

Preferred Skills
- Full-stack proficiency in modern languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, TypeScript, or .NET).
- Cloud architecture experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Agile methodology leadership experience (Scrum/Kanban).
