Senior Software Engineer
Locations: London, Essex | Hybrid
This role offers the opportunity to be part of the core engineering team, driving the technical rewrite of a large monolithic system into a modern microservices architecture. You will influence development frameworks, coding standards, and engineering best practices across the project teams. The position provides exposure to complex technical challenges and close collaboration with experienced cross‑functional teams. You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while participating in a fair, structured on‑call rotation once fully skilled, supporting system stability and operational excellence.

What You Will Get To Do:
Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of applications using .NET Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and developers to deliver solutions Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure best practices Drive continuous improvement in development processes, tools, and methodologies Manage technical risks and ensure the timely delivery of projects Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across environments
On-Call Support:
The development team provide out-of-hours on-call assistance in 4-hour slots, including weekend to the operations team on a rota basis. You will be part of this rota once suitably skilled. Expectation is to be ok to do up to 3 on-call slots per week.
What You Will Bring:
6+ years of experience Hands-on experience with microservices Experience with transformation from monolithic to microservices Experience working with geographically distributed teams Application profiling, debugging, and performance tuning Technical skills Must Have: C#, .NET 6 or later, REST, GraphQL, Docker, RabbitMQ, Postgres, Elastic Search Good To have: MassTransit, MartenDB, CQRS, OpenTelemetry, Event Sourcing, Frontend development, Cloud Experience (AWS, Azure etc) Why You Will Love It Here!
