Our customers are among the largest and most advanced engineering and science-led organisations globally. They use our technology to address critical challenges:

  • Making fusion energy a commercial reality
  • Driving down renewable energy costs and accelerating the transition to sustainability
  • Supporting coral reef restoration

We’re seeking ambitious team members to shape our cutting-edge technology and tackle society’s most pressing problems.

About the Role ✨

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design and build the Uncertainty Engine – the platform at the heart of everything we do. You’ll architect, develop, and maintain scalable, secure systems that empower our customers to solve high-impact challenges.

This is a hands-on, collaborative role, blending deep backend expertise with a product-driven mentality.

Key Responsibilities 🚀

  • Build scalable systems using AWS, Python, MongoDB, and modern technologies
  • Embed security best practices across the software development lifecycle
  • Own and optimise our CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable, and repeatable deployments

  • Partner with Product Management to translate business needs into elegant technical solutions
  • Design clean, RESTful APIs
  • Provide technical support and lead incident investigations
  • Champion Scrum and drive continuous improvement in team processes
  • Foster collaboration and a learning culture where engineers thrive
  • Support frontend work when needed (good to have versatility across the stack)
  • Leverage AI tools to assist and streamline processes

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
