About Reap
Reap is a global financial technology company headquartered in Hong Kong, with employees across multiple countries. We enable financial connectivity and access for businesses worldwide by combining traditional finance with stablecoins for efficient money movement.
Through our stablecoin-powered corporate cards, payments, and expense management tools, we streamline financial operations and help businesses scale. Our APIs let businesses embed stablecoin-enabled finance into their own products and services — from issuing Visa cards to facilitating cross-border payments.
Backed by leading investors including Index Ventures and HashKey Capital, Reap is building the future of borderless, stablecoin-enabled finance.
About The Team
The Reap Direct team builds and maintains our client-facing web and mobile platforms, including core products like Reap Card, Reap Pay, and expense management. We build reliable, user-centric experiences with empathy, and we own the full stack behind them — from the interfaces customers touch to the services and APIs that power them. We value innovation and scalable solutions that drive customer success.
What You'll Do
As a Senior Software Engineer on Reap Direct, you'll own the full development lifecycle of features end to end — from conception through deployment and operation. You'll build scalable, maintainable, and robust full-stack systems, spanning customer-facing interfaces and the back-end services and APIs behind them. Working in a cross-functional team, you'll collaborate closely with other engineers and product stakeholders to design solutions that address our clients' everyday challenges.
The ideal candidate brings a strong passion for technology, a drive for excellence, and a collaborative mindset. If you're energized by solving complex problems and making a significant impact, we'd love for you to apply.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
This role is scoped at the senior level, but we'll also consider strong mid-level engineers ready to grow into broader ownership.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams — product managers, designers, and fellow engineers — to drive product development from concept to deployment.
- Build full-stack applications that meet the highest quality standards in the fintech industry.
- Lead by example and raise the bar for engineering practices and quality.
- Keep our tech stack modern and competitive by staying current with industry trends and technologies.
- Improve the reliability and stability of production products with a large user base, ensuring uninterrupted service.
- Support the team's growth by helping with resume screening and conducting interviews.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for experienced, accountable full-stack engineers with great communication skills.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience: 6+ years of software engineering experience for senior candidates (strong mid-level engineers with 3+ years also considered), with a track record of owning and operating business-critical systems.
- Full-stack engineering: Strong across the entire stack — the React ecosystem (state management, component frameworks) on the front end, and TypeScript/NestJS services and APIs on the back end, deployed to cloud infrastructure. You build both the customer-facing interfaces and the services that power them.
- Coding standards: You deliver maintainable, well-tested, production-ready architecture and code.
- Problem solving: You care deeply about correctness, edge cases, and failure modes. You debug thoughtfully, ask questions, and prioritize clear, robust solutions over quick fixes. You're comfortable working on brownfield projects.
- Database skills (must-have): Strong applied database skills are essential — designing well-structured schemas, writing and optimizing queries, managing migrations, and reasoning about performance with an ORM (e.g. Prisma) against PostgreSQL/Aurora.
- Technical judgment: You balance technical depth with product understanding and apply sound judgment when making tradeoffs. You build systems that are elegant under the hood, yet practical and adaptable in real-world use.
- Growth mindset: You seek feedback, learn from others, and help raise the bar across the engineering team.
- Collaboration: You enjoy working on a team, writing clear code, and participating in peer reviews. You communicate clearly, challenge ideas respectfully, and help raise the quality of the whole team.

- Mobile development: Familiarity with app development using tools like React Native, and with publishing apps to the app stores.
- AI fluency: You actively use AI tools to speed up your work and deepen your understanding, applying your expertise to evaluate, learn from, and enhance their output.
- High-growth environments: Experience in fast-paced teams or startups is helpful.
Our stack
- Language: TypeScript, end to end.
- Frontend: React 19 + Vite + TanStack.
- Backend: NestJS 11.
- Data: Prisma with PostgreSQL/Aurora, plus Redis.
- Infrastructure: AWS (ECS Fargate, Lambda, SQS, S3, CloudFront) and Docker.
