  • Hybrid - 2 days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth, London or Stockport Office. Full-time hours per week.

What This Role Is All About

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Salesforce) to play a key role in shaping and delivering exceptional digital experiences across our business. Working with modern Salesforce technologies including Apex, Lightning Web Components, Financial Services Cloud, Service Cloud and Agentforce, you'll design and develop robust solutions that support seamless customer journeys while driving technical excellence. As a senior member of the engineering team, you'll collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation, influence architectural decisions, mentor fellow engineers and help champion the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI, to deliver continuous improvement and business value.

Key Actions

  • Design, develop and enhance Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, Platform Events and APIs to support seamless customer and adviser journeys
  • Deliver high-quality software through the full development lifecycle, including design, build, testing, deployment, release and ongoing support
  • Lead the technical design of scalable and secure Salesforce solutions across Financial Services Cloud, Service Cloud, Data 360 and Agentforce
  • Investigate and resolve complex production issues, providing root cause analysis and implementing long-term improvements
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions
  • Drive engineering best practices, ensuring solutions meet quality, security, governance and compliance standards
  • Contribute to architectural discussions and technology decisions, helping shape the future direction of the Salesforce platform
  • Support and improve DevOps processes, including source-driven development, automated deployments and CI/CD practices
  • Mentor and coach Software Engineers, sharing technical expertise and promoting continuous learning across the engineering community
  • Evaluate new Salesforce capabilities, AI innovations and platform enhancements, recommending opportunities to improve efficiency, customer experience and business outcomes

What Do You Need to Thrive?

  • Strong hands-on experience developing on the Salesforce platform, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows and integrations
  • Expertise delivering solutions across Financial Services Cloud, Service Cloud, Data 360 and Agentforce
  • A passion for creating high-quality, scalable and customer-focused software solutions
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, security, governance and best practice design principles
  • Experience working within Agile engineering teams and modern DevOps environments
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools such as SFDX, Git and automated deployment pipelines
  • Confidence engaging with stakeholders and translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • A collaborative approach, with a willingness to mentor and support other engineers
  • Curiosity about emerging technologies, including AI, and a desire to continuously learn and innovate
