About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Salesforce to join our UK Member Claims & Plan Servicing Engineering team. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work two days per week in our offices located in Bournemouth, London, or Stockport, with the flexibility of full-time hours. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing innovative Salesforce solutions that enhance customer journeys and streamline business processes. As a senior member of the engineering team, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization, influence architectural decisions, and mentor junior engineers. This role also provides an exciting opportunity to champion emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, to foster continuous improvement and deliver business value.
Qualifications
- Extensive hands-on experience developing on the Salesforce platform, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and integrations.
- Proven expertise in delivering solutions across Salesforce Clouds such as Financial Services Cloud, Service Cloud, Data 360, and Agentforce.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, security, governance, and best practice design principles.
- Experience working within Agile teams and modern DevOps environments, with familiarity in CI/CD practices and tools like SFDX, Git, and automated deployment pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges efficiently.
- Effective stakeholder engagement skills, capable of translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentorship abilities, supporting the growth and development of fellow engineers.
- A curious mindset with a keen interest in emerging technologies, including AI and platform enhancements, to drive innovation.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance Salesforce solutions utilizing Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, Platform Events, and APIs to support seamless customer and adviser journeys.
- Manage the full software development lifecycle, including design, build, testing, deployment, release, and ongoing support to ensure high-quality outputs.
- Lead the technical design of scalable, secure Salesforce solutions across various Clouds, including Financial Services Cloud, Service Cloud, Data 360, and Agentforce.
- Investigate and resolve complex production issues, providing root cause analysis and implementing long-term corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Promote engineering best practices, ensuring solutions adhere to quality, security, governance, and compliance standards.
- Participate in architectural discussions and technology decisions, influencing the future direction of the Salesforce platform.
- Support and enhance DevOps processes, including source-driven development, automated deployments, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Mentor and coach fellow Software Engineers, sharing expertise and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Evaluate new Salesforce features, AI capabilities, and platform updates, recommending opportunities for operational efficiency and improved customer experience.
