About the Role
Are you an experienced Senior Software Engineer passionate about scalable systems and seamless user experiences? Join our Search Team to help design how millions of guests find their perfect holiday by shaping the core of our booking journey.
The Search Product Team delivers end-to-end search experiences across our diverse portfolio—from fast location queries and filtering to late-breaking availability matching and AI-driven recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
You’ll collaborate across the full product lifecycle, ensuring robust backend services while pushing for a sleek, high-performance, guest-centric experience.
Daily Work Areas
- Develop feature-rich search solutions, from filtering algorithms to real-time availability and pricing insights.
- Lead architectural vision and technical roadmaps for our Search platform.
- Drive engineering standards—CI/CD pipelines, Test-Driven Development (TDD), cloud-native setups, and collaborative coding (pair/mob programming).
- Mentor graduates, junior and mid-level engineers to foster talent growth.
- Engage with Product, Data Science, Analytics, and Design teams to align technology with customer needs.
Requirements & Fit
We’re looking for Senior Engineers (x2), equally balanced in Full-Stack / Backend or Full-Stack / Frontend experience, with commercial successes in large-scale distributed systems or front-end-facing applications.

Technical Expertise
- Proficiency in practical programming (e.g., Java, Kotlin, TypeScript, React; willingness to onboard our tech stack).
- Experience with search technologies (OpenSearch, Elasticsearch).
- AWS cloud expertise (ECS, API Gateway, CloudFront).
- Hands-on infrastructure-as-code, secure and scalable application deployment.
- Strong collaboration with Data Science, Analytics, and Design teams for measurable impact.
- Mastery of modern engineering quality practices—pairing, TDD, BDD.
