Senior Python Data Platform Engineer
The Opportunity
We are working with a leading financial technology and data business that processes terabytes of data every day, transforming complex raw datasets into high-quality products used by sophisticated financial institutions globally.
Following significant investment and continued growth, they are looking for a strong Python Engineer to join the team responsible for building and scaling their core data distribution platform.
The Role
You will work on large-scale systems responsible for processing, storing, and distributing huge volumes of data, with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Build and improve large-scale data processing and distribution systems.
- Develop high-quality production Python.
- Improve platform performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Automate workflows and operational processes.
- Contribute to architecture and technical design.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Evaluate and introduce new technologies.
What They’re Looking For

- 6+ years of software or data engineering experience.
- Strong commercial Python experience.
- Experience with large-scale or distributed systems.
- AWS and Linux experience.
- Databricks and/or Snowflake.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals.
Bonus: Airflow, Delta Lake, Iceberg, Celery, C++, Java, Scala, or database optimization.
This is a strong opportunity for a Python Software Engineer or Data Engineer who wants to work on genuinely large-scale data problems within a highly technical environment.
