Senior Software Project Manager – TVMS (TfL Video Management System)

About the Role
Reporting to the Account Director, the Senior Software Project Manager will lead the TVMS (TfL Video Management System) project, overseeing multi-million-pound budgets, financial performance, profitability, and risk mitigation. You’ll ensure strategic alignment and direct reporting to senior leadership and Board-level stakeholders in a fast-paced, agile environment.
This role involves hybrid working and regular travel between London (Canning Town & Feltham), Warwick, and Bristol.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the TVMS project, aligning cross-functional teams against agreed scope, quality, timelines, and customer objectives.
- Manage commercial and financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, profitability, and P&L accountability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, suppliers, and stakeholders, acting as the senior point of contact and ensuring full engagement across the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and present project, operational, and financial reports to senior leadership and the Board, with clear insights and strategic recommendations.
- Lead project governance, risk management, and change control, ensuring contractual compliance and effective management of risks, issues, and opportunities.
- Drive collaboration and performance across matrix-managed teams and external partners, resolving complex technical, commercial, and operational challenges.

Who You Are
This role is perfect for an experienced Senior Project Manager with a proven track record in delivering large-scale, business-critical software projects. You should be:
- Commercially astute, financially driven, and comfortable operating at senior stakeholder and Board level.
- Exceptional at relationship management, capable of influencing decision-makers while balancing customer satisfaction and commercial outcomes.
- Highly organised, proactive, and results-driven.
Key Requirements
✔ Proven experience delivering complex software projects in regulated, business-critical environments. ✔ Strong commercial and financial acumen, including multi-million-pound budget management, forecasting, cost control, and P&L accountability. ✔ Experience presenting to Executive and Board-level stakeholders on project financials, risks, and performance. ✔ Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with fluency in influencing customers, partners, suppliers, and senior leadership. ✔ Experienced in managing cross-functional and matrix-organisation teams, ensuring accountability and successful project delivery. ✔ Strong knowledge of project governance, commercial contracts, risk, and change control processes. ✔ Full UK driving licence with regular travel flexibility for London (Canning Town & Feltham), Warwick, and Bristol.
