Our partner company, based in the United Kingdom, is seeking a Senior Software Quality Engineer for a remote role.
This remote senior QA role focuses on ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of a fast-growing SaaS healthcare platform. You will work closely with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams to ensure high-quality releases, while also contributing to improving CI/CD quality gates and release confidence in a dynamic environment.
You will work on shaping a strong quality strategy that compliments the evolving needs of a rapidly scaling SaaS product.
Accountabilities
- Develop and continuously enhance QA strategy, processes, and standards to improve overall software quality, release confidence, and production stability across the SaaS platform.
- Design, execute, and maintain manual testing efforts including:
- Test plans
- Exploratory testing
- Regression testing
- Validation of complex business workflows
- Build and evolve test automation frameworks for UI and API layers, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines to enhance test coverage and reliability.
- Perform API testing and validation using tools like Postman, focusing on:
- Authentication
- Authorization
- Error handling
- Regression suite automation
- Conduct data validation and reconciliation using SQL to:
- Verify system integrity
- Investigate production issues
- Validate backend processes and integrations
- Collaborate closely with:
- Developers
- Product managers
- Stakeholders
- To review requirements, triage defects, and communicate quality risks effectively.
- Maintain comprehensive QA documentation, including:
- Test cases
- Release checklists
- Regression suites
- Defect logs
- QA reports

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in QA engineering for SaaS or enterprise-grade web applications, including ownership of end-to-end quality.
- Strong expertise in:
- Manual testing
- Test case design
- Exploratory testing
- Validation of complex workflows
- Proven experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks using tools such as:
- Playwright
- Cypress
- Selenium
- TestCafe
- Strong API testing experience via Postman, with knowledge of:
- REST APIs
- Authentication
- Payload validation
- Error handling
- Advanced SQL skills with experience working on:
- SQL Server
- PostgreSQL
- MySQL
- For data validation and reconciliation
- Experience working in Agile environments with strong communication skills.
- Solid understanding of:
- SaaS architectures
- Multi-tenant systems
- Authentication/SSO
- Enterprise workflows
- Ability to analyze quality metrics and determine optimal balance between manual testing and automation.
- Experience with AI-assisted QA practices (test generation, automation support, defect analysis) is a plus.
