The Role: Solution Sales Executive (SSE)
This position is key to driving end-to-end customer success by partnering with account ownership to guide solution-specific sales efforts, catering to domain-specific expertise, refining customer experience, and expanding their SAP footprint through renewals and expansions.
Key Responsibilities

Demand Generation & Pipeline Management:
- Generate demand and close high-value opportunities
- Develop compelling opportunity plans aligned with value propositions
- Conduct white space analysis to pinpoint growth opportunities

Collaboration & Strategy:
- Work closely with the account/solution team on sales campaigns
- Manage relationships at the solution/buying centre level
- Foster move-to-cloud and expand footprint strategies
- Progress renewals/expansions, particularly for new-to-solution or cloud-bound accounts

Industry & Market Expertise:
- Leverage deep knowledge of business operations, models, strategies, and processes
- Stay updated on SAP’s competition and value drivers
- Collaborate with experts to address client needs across SAP’s ecosystem

Customer Engagement:
- Drive involvement in relevant SAP communities, events, and programs
- Facilitate partnership ecosystem collaboration

Requirements
Experience & Expertise
-
Proven track record in selling business application software, with a record of exceeding quota targets
-
3–5+ years in sales of software/IT solutions
-
Deep understanding of integration and platform concepts, and SAP’s solution portfolio (especially business processes)

Solution/Product-specific expertise, including innovations within the domain
-
Proven ability to handle large transactions & complex sales pursuits

Experience in contractual negotiations, including subscription-based renewals, expansions, and upgrades

Knowledge of regulatory & competitive landscapes, and financial environments

Relationship Management:
- Strong network within account teams, Customer Business Office (CBOs), and geo unit leaders
- Alignment with product management & marketing

- Exceptional communication skills (verbal & non-verbal) tailored for executive audiences
- Strategic thinking, creativity, and high problem-solving ability
- Strong commercial instincts, particularly tailored to subscription models
- Ambitious and values-driven, with a focus on driving impact through efforts
