Senior Solutions Architect (Cyber Security)
Salary: £110,000 - £130,000 basic (OTE £147,000 - £173,000) + attractive benefits Location: UK (Remote / Hybrid London) Employment: Full Time, Permanent
Join a high-growth, PE-backed cybersecurity vendor, trusted by Government, Defence, and global enterprise organisations.
Following significant investment and continued international expansion, the business is scaling its commercial and technical teams. This critical hire will play a pivotal role in bridging technical and customer-facing teams while supporting customers in adopting market-leading cybersecurity solutions.
About the Role
The business operates in highly secure and regulated environments, supporting organisations in Government, Defence, Financial Services, and Enterprise sectors with advanced cybersecurity technology.
As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will:
- Act as the primary technical advisor throughout the sales process.
- Partner closely with customers to understand complex requirements and design tailored security solutions.
- Engage in pre-sales activities, including demonstrations, Proof of Concepts (PoCs), stakeholder management, and macro economic trend analysis, across enterprise and public sector organisations.
This is a highly customer-facing pre-sales role, combining technical consultancy, solution design, demonstrations, PoCs, and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
- Partner with sales, product, and engineering teams to translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
- Deliver high-impact customer briefings: technical presentations, workshops, demonstrations, and PoCs.
- Design solution architectures for cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments.
- Serve as the primary technical advisor throughout the entire sales cycle.
- Support RFIs, RFPs, and technical bid responses.
- Conduct Proof of Value engagements and technical evaluations.
- Advise customers on best deployment practices, automation, and DevOps methodologies.
- Support APIs, networking integration, and modern cybersecurity frameworks.
- Build strong customer relationships in enterprise, Government, and Financial Services sectors.
- Provide customer feedback and market insights to product and engineering teams.
- Contribute to thought leadership activities, including webinars, content creation, and industry events.

Benefits
Compensation:
- Basic salary: £110,000 - £130,000 with uncapped commission (75%/25% split).
- OTE £147,000 - £173,000.

Requirements
Core Experience:
- Experience as a Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Technical Consultant.
- Strong background in cybersecurity, networking, or enterprise software.
- Exceptional customer-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Hands-on experience in delivering technical demos, workshops, and PoCs.
- Proficiency in leading public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Deep understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, HTTP/S).
- Experience with APIs, integrations, and software development.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Enjoy collaborating across sales, engineering, and customer success.
Desirable (Bonus Points)
- Experience with Government, Defence, or Financial Services customers.
- Knowledge of ICAP, CASB, ZTNA, or modern cybersecurity frameworks.
- DevOps experience (CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code).
- Programming skills in Python, Java, or C#.
- Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, or containerized environments.
- Experience with security clearances or regulated procurement environments.
