Senior Solutions Architect, WWPS Global Defence Partners
Senior Solutions Architect (AWS WWPS Partner – Defence Sector)
Do you enjoy helping customers implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solving technical challenges? Excited to leverage the latest cloud technologies while guiding teams through complex application architectures and integration strategies? If you thrive in consultative and leadership roles—driving projects toward success—this opportunity is for you.
AboutTheRole
As a Senior Solutions Architect within the AWS WWPS Partner team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing a strategy to expand the adoption of AWS services—AI/ML, high-performance computing (HPC), advanced analytics, digital engineering, and manufacturing systems modernization—directly with our defence-sector partners. Reporting to defence-system integrators, consulting firms, and technology partners, your mission is to act as a dedicated technical leader for high-growth organisations navigating critical cloud migrations and digital transformations.
Key Accountabilities:
- Partner with strategic defence-sector clients to define and execute cloud adoption strategies that align with their business objectives.
- Serve as the primary technical advisor for implementation projects, owning architecture design, governance, security, and best practices.
- Develop deep technical expertise in AWS technologies across compute, data, machine learning, and operational tooling.
- Act as an executive-level scorer, positioning AWS as the preferred infrastructure partner during high-impact scaling phases.
- Address RFP responses, technical workshops, and workshops tailored to defence-specific compliance, mission-critical operations, and defence industry workflows.
This role requires autonomy in thought leadership, c-level communication, and the ability to balance multitask complex engagements. You’ll drive architectural decisions across concurrent projects, ensuring AWS remains the strategy of choice.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
