Senior Solutions Engineer – Wise Platform Team at Wise
Location: London, UK (with travel to Tallinn, London, and partners across EMEA)
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to join our growing Wise Platform team in London. The Wise Platform team works with top-tier global financial institutions and major tech companies to deliver Wise products and services directly to their customers.
Our API-first approach enables partners to architect and build integrations that improve our world-class international finance products, enhancing our public API’s capability through tailored integrations.
This role drives growth, troubleshoots challenges, and enhances our product offerings.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll work as a trusted advisor between Wise and our partners, leveraging technical expertise to:
- Define technical solutions tailored to each partner’s needs
- Gather requirements and refine the integration process
- Support bespoke implementations through collaboration across teams
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues within our product stack
Core Areas of Focus:

Partner Support & Leadership
- Act as the go-to contact for banks and partners during sur际 post-sale integration
- Guide technical teams through architecture decisions and implementation
- Manage multiple high-stakes integrations simultaneously

Enterprise Solutions & Expansion
- Develop comprehensive documentation, robust APIs, SDKs, and examples to simplify integrations
- Proactively address common banking challenges through improved resources
- Drive technical guidance during presales, influencing new partnerships

What Success Looks Like
We’re looking for a hands-on yet strategic thinker who thrives at the intersection of engineering, product, and partnership. Your impact spans:
- Holistic ecosystem design for Wise’s financial integrations
- Cross-functional collaboration (engineers, sales, product, legal)
- Actionable feedback from partners to drive product improvements

Expected Duration & Remuneration
Salary range: £87,500 – £111,000 (annual) + Restricted Share Units (RSUs).

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Mastery:
- 6+ years as a customer-facing engineer, likely in financial services, integration, or solutions (e.g., Solutions Engineer, IT Consultant, Partner Engineer, Integration Consultant)
- Known for tracing design patterns (DDD, EDA) and architecture from experience
Hands-On Proficiency:
- Development Languages: Java (Spring Boot preferred), plus good knowledge of:
- Best Practices: Kubernetes, AWS (familiarity with service mesh, Swisscom/slinky)
- Security/API Design: OAuth2, Swagger, OpenAPI
- Databases: SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (Mongo/Cassandra)
Soft Skills:
- Expert storytelling—ability to translate technical debt or risks to non-technical stakeholders
- Self-direction is critical; you juggle multiple high-priority deals gracefully
- Diverse partner relationships (e.g., collaborating with tech teams in Europe/US)
