Job Description
Job Description:
We are hiring a Senior Solutions Engineer with deep Oracle Financials expertise to strengthen our Oracle presales team in the UK and EMEA. You will own the technical narrative and value demonstration in front of CFOs, controllers, FP&A leaders, and finance teams. You will help customers clearly see why insightsoftware is the superior choice for their reporting needs.
You will work closely with Account Executives and Account Managers to qualify opportunities rigorously, shape winning solutions, run compelling demos, and drive deals to close. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where you can influence how insightsoftware wins in the Oracle ecosystem and help shape our broader GTM approach.
What You Will Do
- Partner with sales representatives across the full sales cycle, from discovery and qualification through technical validation, proof-of-concept, and close, acting as the trusted technical advisor.
- Deliver concise, story-driven, executive-level demonstrations of insightsoftware solutions that directly address finance business problems and clearly articulate superior outcomes versus Oracle native tools and competing EPM platforms.
- Translate complex Oracle Financials architectures, reporting gaps, and finance processes into clear business value and ROI for CFOs, controllers, and FP&A audiences.
- Build and maintain sharp competitive positioning against key competitors. Feed field intelligence back into product, marketing, and enablement.
- Apply rigorous qualification frameworks (e.g. MEDDPICC) to help sales teams sequence deals effectively, identify true champions, and accelerate decision-making.
- Contribute to reusable demo assets, proof-of-concept accelerators, and IP that scale our Oracle practice.
- Coach and mentor less-experienced Solutions Engineers on Oracle architecture, finance buyer dynamics, competitive positioning, and high-impact presales execution.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to influence roadmap priorities based on real customer feedback.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
