The Role at a Glance
As a Senior Solutions Software Engineer, you’ll:
- Lead and deliver cutting-edge secure, resilient systems for mission-critical platforms
- Work closely with global clients, partners, and the core development team
- Augment our ** revolutionary operating system** while expanding the platform’s ecosystem and capabilities
- Balance technical leadership with collaborative innovation
What You’ll Be Delivering
Design, architect, and build innovative solutions that protect the world’s most critical infrastructure by:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining mission-critical embedded systems
- Leading embedded systems development and solution deployment for high-stakes projects
- Expanding our peripheral, board, and driver portfolio to enhance platform scalability and security
- Resolving complex technical challenges for clients and engineering teams
- Debugging, optimising, and improving operating system and application performance
- Developing and managing a comprehensive developer ecosystem (scripts, documentation, drivers, and code samples)
- Ensuring enterprise-grade architectural oversight and risk assessment for projects

Essential Skills and Experience
To thrive in this critical and impactful role, you will:
- Have a minimum of 5 years’ software engineering experience, with a strong focus in systems design and security-focused architecture
- Be proficient in C/C++ with deep knowledge of embedded systems and their unique challenges
- Demonstrate autonomous problem-solving skills, managing ambiguity effectively in fast-paced environments
- Excel at complex technical analysis, autonomously diagnosing issues, and rapidly adapting to new technologies
- Share a passionate dedication to secure systems design, from initial concept through to deployment
Advantageous Technical Background
While not mandatory, these advanced skills will further elevate your contributions:
- Embedded IoT development and experience with connected secure systems
- Proficiency in virtualisation technologies, including Docker, containers, and virtual machines
- Familiarity with Assembly, Elixir, Erlang, or Rust programming
- Hands-on experience with network protocols, routing, and secure connected systems
- Relevant experience in manufacturing, automotive, power grid, or defence software development
- Exposure to automated reasoning, formal methods, or cryptographic implementation
