Senior Sous Chef

You will report to the Head Chef, responsible for the smooth running of your designated section in the Kitchen. To ensure all food service areas achieve a consistently high standard of food presentation suitable to that of an ambitious 4-star Hotel.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations and ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Supervising and training kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Developing and executing innovative menus, incorporating seasonal and local ingredients.
  • Overseeing food preparations, cooking, and plating, ensuring consistency and excellence.
  • Marinating inventory and ordering supplies, ensuring cost-effective and efficient kitchen operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.

  • 2 AA Rosette location experience
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-end hotel or restaurant
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques and trend
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
