Requirements

  • Experience cooking fresh ingredients
  • Experience managing a kitchen
  • Experience with Fourth, FnB, and Harri systems (preferred, but training available)
  • Ability to lead, support, and inspire a team
  • Passion for cuisine

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve 'well-travelled' food inspired by global flavors
  • Support the restaurant team with the 'Caravan of Love' customer experience
  • Work with the Head Chef to nurture and develop the kitchen team, leading from the front
  • Take ownership of role and kitchen responsibilities
  • Learn and develop knowledge and skills
  • Support environmental stewardship targets and efficiency goals
  • Follow departmental environmental policies and monitor resource usage (energy, disposable goods, food waste)
  • Respect individual differences in all work interactions
