About the Role
As a Senior Sous Chef, you’ll drive the consistency and creativity behind our high-end, multi-outlet culinary offering. This hands-on leadership role supports the Head Chef, ensuring that every dish—be it in front-of-house service or behind-the-scenes events—reflects precision, excellence, and a commitment to reinventing Manchester’s dining landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver relentless food quality and premium service across day-to-day operations, events, and matchdays
- Execute menus aligned with brand vision, upholding strict standards of consistency, quality control, and presentation
- Lead sections and develop the brigade, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, allergens, and health & safety standards
- Optimise stock control, waste reduction, and operational efficiency to drive commercial success

In the Head Chef’s absence, you’ll step in as kitchen leader, maintaining standards, workflows, and service delivery.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or Sous Chef in premium/high-volume catering
- Strong track record in breakfast, all-day dining, and evening service formats
- Ability to orchestrate fast-paced kitchens with structure, consistency, and calm leadership
- Hands-on team supervision and mentorship for junior chefs
- Deep understanding of food safety/allergen legislation
- Proficiency in stock control, food costing, and waste management
- Unflinching ability to thrive under pressure during peak services
- Uncompromising passion for quality, detail, and guest experience
- Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and event shifts
Desirable:
- Creative input into menu development or seasonality adaptations
- Experience working in concept-driven, high-end restaurants
- A background supporting new openings or relaeunches
- Strong supplier relationships for quality ingredients
- Exposure to large front-of-house (FOH) teams
