Senior Sous Chef
We are recruiting for a passionate, forward-thinking, and experienced Senior Sous Chef to work alongside our Head Chef to manage daily kitchen activities, including overseeing staff, aiding with menu preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring ordering and stocking.
Requirements
- At least two years experience in a Sous Chef position
- Interest in Scottish food and utilising local produce is a plus
- Ready to get started
Responsibilities
- Assisting the kitchen operation including food service and managing the kitchen team when required
- Providing guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including, but not limited, to line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating
- Supervises all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards
- Working with Head Chef to maintain kitchen organisation, staff ability, and training opportunities
- Verifying that food storage units all meet standards and are consistently well-managed
- Coordinating with restaurant management team on supply ordering, budget, and kitchen efficiency and staffing
- Ensuring the entire kitchen team adhere to quality, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
- Assisting with managing the food inventory and ordering stock
- Ensuring that customers receive excellent quality food
