Harris Hill are delighted to be working with a fantastic charity to recruit for the Senior Special Events Fundraiser to join a collaborative fundraising team, delivering an exciting portfolio of large-scale fundraising events while working closely with senior volunteers, committees, sponsors and key stakeholders.
You'll take ownership of a portfolio of flagship fundraising events from concept through to delivery. You'll oversee event logistics, manage budgets, secure sponsorship opportunities and work alongside volunteer committees to maximise fundraising success.
You'll also mentor colleagues on projects, contribute to team strategy and continuously seek innovative ways to enhance supporter experiences and increase event income.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and delivery of high-profile fundraising events and special projects.
- Build and manage strong relationships with senior volunteers, committee members, sponsors and supporters.
- Manage event budgets, monitor income and expenditure, and achieve fundraising targets.
- Negotiate and manage relationships with external suppliers to deliver excellent value.
- Develop engaging event communications and supporter materials.
- Identify new opportunities to grow income and improve supporter engagement.
- Work collaboratively across fundraising and wider organisational teams to maximise opportunities.
- Support and develop junior colleagues through project leadership and mentoring.
- Ensure events are delivered to an exceptional standard while introducing fresh, creative ideas.

About You
- Significant experience managing large scale fundraising or high-profile events.
- A proven track record of growing event income and delivering successful fundraising campaigns.
- Outstanding relationship management skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders and volunteers.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong budget management and financial planning experience.
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
- Creative thinking with a passion for developing innovative fundraising experiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience within fundraising, events, sales, marketing or another customer focused environment.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and CRM or database systems.

Salary & Benefits
- Salary: £37,948 - £41,791 inc. London Weighting
- Contract type: Permanent
- Location: London, hybrid working, minimum 1 day a week in the office.
