About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Senior Specialist, Operations Oversight to join our UK Transfer Agency team. In this position, you will enforce operational excellence, ensure compliance, and drive performance within our team and processing centres.
Core Responsibilities
You will play a pivotal role in:

Oversight & Compliance:
- Conduct comprehensive oversight of operational processing centres, ensuring all client service standards are met or exceeded.
- Lift accountability across key processes, including transaction processing, record maintenance, payments, reconciliations, and more, to enhance transfer agency operations.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory frameworks, including CASS, COLL, COBS, DISP, GDPR, and the Consumer Duty, safeguarding our clients’ compliance.

Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement:
- Investigate and swiftly resolve operational queries, issues, and incidents—analysing performance data to drive process optimisation.
- Identify and implement improvements through procedure review and maintenance, ensuring best practices incorporate emerging technologies and methodologies.

Team & Workflow Support:
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to support daily workflow management, training, and team development.
- Participate in internal and external audits and reviews with stakeholders to sustain operational integrity.

Regulatory & Ethical Alignment:
- Garner knowledge of global financial regulations and prioritise processes that align with BNY Mellon’s ethical, transparent, and client-focused principles.
Key Requirements
✔ Qualifications & Experience:
- A blend of formal education, training, and relevant work experience sufficient to fulfill job responsibilities.
- A Bachelor’s degree is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Financial services operational expertise, particularly in areas such as transaction processing or client reporting.
- Experience or eagerness to develop skills in AI, automation, and digital tools.

- Pragmatic decision-making with a client-first mentality, ensuring responsiveness, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills—empowering data-driven operational enhancements.
- Compliance minded with an ability to evaluate risks and ensure regulatory protocols are effectively followed.
- Collaborative & communicative, excel in teamwork by facilitating knowledge-sharing and supporting peers.
✔ Preferences & Leadership Attributes:
- Knowledge of AI or automated workflows offers an advantage.
- Familiarity with operational auditing/external stakeholder engagement is valuable.
