We seek a Senior Specialist Financial Crime Compliance Data Analyst to join our EMEA Financial Crime Compliance team. This role will focus on data management, analytics, regulatory reporting, and risk assessment processes within the Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) framework. The position is based in Manchester (hybrid model, 4 days in-office per week).


About the Role

This role supports BNY Mellon’s Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) program within the EMEA region, ensuring efficient and accurate reporting and risk management operations.


Key Responsibilities

EMEA FCC Regulatory Reporting

  • Lead and assist in compiling data and responses for the Annual FCC reporting across EMEA legal entities.
  • Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and completeness checks across regulatory outputs.
  • Maintain and enhance data trackers and reporting templates used in EMEA FCC workflows.
  • Support technical teams in developing repeatable and scalable reporting solutions through structured business requirements.
  • Collaborate on initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency, consistency, and auditability.
  • Identify, document, and track data quality issues while supporting remediation teams.

Coordinated Data Support with Central Risk Teams

  • Partner with the Central Risk & Compliance Analytics and Reporting team to resolve data-related discrepancies.

FCC Risk Assessment Support

  • Assist with data collection and preparation for FCC Risk Assessments across AML, Sanctions, ABC, and other financial crime themes.
  • Perform data quality checks and validation on risk assessment inputs and scoring outputs.
  • Work with data teams to validate risk metrics and identify automation opportunities in assessments.
  • Track remediation progress for data issues flagged in risk assessments.

Key Skills & Experience

Required SkillsDesirable Skills
Strong expertise in data analysis within financial services or compliance domainExperience with data tools: Power BI, SQL, Tableau, Python
Proficient in advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, complex formulas, data manipulation).Understanding of data governance and risk controls framework.
Detailed-orientation for validating large complex datasets.Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical teams.
