About the department

The Middle Office Client Services PM & Trading Services team serves as a strategic operational partner to Franklin Templeton’s Portfolio Management and Trading functions, providing end-to-end support for trading activities, new product launches, market onboarding, and complex investment operations. Working closely with front-office, risk, compliance, technology, and external counterparties, the team helps drive operational efficiency, mitigate risk, and deliver seamless support across global markets and asset classes.

How you will add value

Core Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted operational partner to Portfolio Managers and Traders.
  • Provide expert support across trading activities, market onboarding, and investment operations.
  • Act as the primary contact for complex product, market, and technology-related queries.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that enhance front-office support and client outcomes.
  • Coordinate with business, operations, technology, and external partners to resolve issues.
  • Represent Middle Office Client Services on strategic projects, technical forums, and industry initiatives.
  • Support the development and launch of new products, markets, and investment capabilities.

What will help you be successful in this role

Education and Experience

  • 8–12 years of experience in Global Trade Support, investment operations, or front-office support functions.
  • Experience within asset management, mutual funds, investment banking, or related financial services environments.
  • Proven ability to lead complex issue resolution across operations, technology, and business teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of securities products, market structures, trade lifecycle processes, and settlements.
  • Advanced relationship management experience with custodian banks, counterparties, and key stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • MBA, Claritas, CISI Investment Administration Qualification, SOTC, or similar industry qualifications are advantageous.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt, local securities qualifications, or comparable process improvement experience preferred.
