Senior Staff Engineer – Strategic AI Platform Lead
Opportunity to join a recent acquisition by a $5bn+ US-based AI powerhouse – their first senior UK technical hire!

Core Responsibilities
- Architecture & Leadership Lead design and implementation of large-scale distributed systems and event-driven microservices for mass-market consumer apps.
- Cross-functional Collaboration Align with engineering/production leadership to define long-term tech roadmaps, optimise systems performance, and drive elaborate service delivery.
- Engineering Excellence Set and enforce best practices, improving scalability, reliability, and maintenance standards across near-global infrastructure.

Essential Technical Proficiencies
- Primary Stack: Scala, Java, TypeScript, React

- Infrastructure/DevOps: AWS, GitHub, Azure GitHub Copilot, Datadog
- System Expertise: Experience with high-throughput, moving-components environments and cloud-native principles.

Compensation & Conditions
- Base: Up to £140k
- Bonus: Structured 20% target year-end incentive

- Working Model: Hybrid (2-3 days remote); office optional in London/European HQ hub.
