Care of Older Adult/Orthogeriatric – Elm Ward

About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, forward-thinking, self-motivated individual to join our Elm Ward senior nursing team.
The successful candidate will provide leadership to the team, ensuring care standards are maintained at the highest level while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver quality patient care.
As a Charge Nurse/Ward Sister, responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, provide, and deliver an effective 24-hour nursing service for the ward/department.
- Manage, support, and develop the ward/department team, ensuring alignment with NMC and Trust policies and standards.
- Act as a clinical role model, fostering professional growth for staff.
- Ensure the ward environment is a safe and supportive learning space for all employees and student nurses.
- Serve as an advanced clinical practitioner, guiding the training and professional development of nurses.
- Prioritise patient-centred care as the core focus of daily operations.
