Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse - Darwen Ward

Pennine Lancashire is seeking a Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse for Darwen Ward, a male treatment ward at our Pendleview unit, Royal Blackburn Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

• Support staff members in the assessment, planning, and provision of care in line with national and local nursing and health and safety policy.
• Exercise professional accountability and responsibility demonstrating use of professional skills, knowledge, and expertise in the provision of high-quality care.
• Utilise research, audit, and enquiry to lead improvements in care.
• Actively promote teamwork, respect, kindness, and ongoing learning within the clinical team in accordance with the Trust values and code of conduct.
• Demonstrate clinical leadership and oversight in terms of the clinical practice of others.
• Deliver clinical supervision to junior staff, acting as the shift lead and role model, and carrying out clinical audits as required.
• Have comprehensive knowledge and awareness of clinical SOPs, working closely with the nursing team to ensure patient care is reviewed and maintained in line with these.
• Provide nurse leadership within the multidisciplinary team and ensure the effective assessment, formulation, planning, and monitoring of care given to inpatient service users, ensuring that inpatient service users are receiving high-quality care, in the right place at the right time every time.
