Senior Staff Nurse
The Role
The Senior Clinical Staff Nurse within the Unplanned Care Group Children's Emergency Department supports the Senior Sister and Directorate Management team in the delivery of the Service Level Agreement for Children’s Services.
The role of the Senior Clinical Staff Nurse is to be clinically credible in the delivery of general and specialist services that are delivered within the department.
The Senior Clinical Staff Nurse works closely with the Senior Sister in the delivery of evidence-based practice; ensuring patients receive safe and effective patient care to meet the Directorate & Trust safety agenda and matching parent and family expectations.
Facilitate communication, which results in clear responsibilities being identified within the multi-professional team. There is a requirement to exchange verbal and written information with patients, staff and carers requiring tact and diplomacy. The post holder needs to ensure that all barriers to understanding are overcome by using differing strategies to meet individual need.
