Senior Statistician | Global CRO | UK | Remote | Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Statistician to join a well-established, internationally recognised CRO with an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality biometrics services to global pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced statistician with a strong background in statistical methodology who enjoys influencing study design, providing strategic statistical input, and leading the delivery of complex clinical development programmes within a collaborative, technically focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the statistical strategy and delivery of clinical trials from study design through to reporting
  • Develop Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs), including estimands, statistical methodology, analysis models and mock shells
  • Provide expert statistical consultancy on study design, sample size calculations, protocol development and estimands
  • Coordinate statisticians and statistical programmers to ensure high-quality SDTM, ADaM and TFL deliverables
  • Perform statistical quality control and validation of complex analyses and datasets
  • Act as the primary statistical contact for sponsors throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support Data Monitoring Committees, regulatory inspections and client audits
  • Contribute to proposals, bid defences and project budget management

What you need:

  • Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Biostatistics or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Statistician within a CRO or pharmaceutical environment
  • Strong understanding of statistical methodology and clinical trial design
  • Experience developing SAPs and providing statistical input into study design and protocol development
  • Experience leading statistical activities across clinical trials
  • Strong knowledge of SAS, CDISC standards (SDTM/ADaM) and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to work directly with clients
