Are you ready to join a dynamic team where innovation thrives? Aspire Defence Services Limited (ADSL) is seeking a passionate and results-driven Senior Storekeeper to be part of our exciting journey. This role plays a key part in delivering an efficient, accurate, and compliant stores service, supporting the day-to-day operations of the stores team while ensuring safe and effective materials handling in line with Ministry of Defence and company procedures.

Your Role:
- You will be leading the day-to-day coordination of storekeepers, allocating and monitoring tasks to ensure stock is issued, received, and recorded accurately
- You will be acting as team lead in the absence of the supervisor, providing continuity of service and supporting high-priority or complex stores tasks
- You will be overseeing stock control processes including goods in and out, labelling, stock rotation, and location tracking while supporting audits and reconciliations
- You will be promoting and enforcing health and safety compliance, ensuring safe handling practices and reporting hazards or incidents promptly
- You will be supporting the development of team members through mentoring, guidance, and on-the-job training
- You will be maintaining accurate systems and documentation, ensuring stock movements are recorded correctly and supporting audit readiness and continuous improvement

What We're Looking For:
Qualifications:
- You will hold GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent, have a full UK driving licence, and be trained in manual handling or willing to undertake training as required
Experience:
- You will have experience working within a warehouse, logistics, or stores environment, with strong knowledge of stock handling, materials movement, and working with structured processes to maintain accurate records
Skills:
- You will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, support team members, and use inventory systems while maintaining attention to detail and working effectively under pressure
Experience & Knowledge:
- Experience in a warehouse, logistics, or stores role with knowledge of stock handling and materials movement
- Awareness of workplace safety practices including manual handling and hazardous substances
- Ability to follow structured processes and maintain accurate records for operational efficiency

Desirable:
- Qualification in warehousing and distribution at Level 2 or 3
- Health and safety certification such as IOSH Working Safely
- Experience using inventory or enterprise resource planning systems and working within a defence-related environment or mentoring role
Skills:
- Proactive and reliable with strong attention to detail
- Confident in prioritising tasks and supporting junior team members
- Team-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable using systems and handling documentation accurately
- Calm under pressure and responsive to operational needs while demonstrating integrity and accountability
