Henderson Scott is recruiting a Senior Strategic Business Analyst to support the second phase of a critical transformation programme.
Working as part of an experienced project team, you will lead the strategic analysis for a new phase of the programme. This is an early-stage shaping role focused on establishing business needs, intended outcomes, and organisational impacts—not a traditional systems or process BA position.
You will work closely with Director and Head-of-level stakeholders, helping them navigate competing priorities and agree on a clear, evidence-based direction.
Key responsibilities:
- Define and articulate the underlying business needs and desired outcomes.
- Assess the potential organisational, operational, and data impacts.
- Translate an emerging vision into a clear strategy and high-level blueprint.
- Shape options, recommendations, business cases, and strategic roadmaps.
- Identify the data and insight required to support effective decision-making.
- Facilitate workshops with senior stakeholders and secure agreement on priorities.
- Challenge constructively and maintain momentum within a complex stakeholder environment.
- Produce clear strategic outputs that enable senior leaders to make informed decisions.
- Work independently with limited oversight and light-touch senior support.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
