About Us
Iris is a global integrated agency driven by one simple philosophy: Participate or Perish. We create ideas that earn attention and inspire people to interact with brands in meaningful ways. Working with some of the world’s most ambitious brands, we combine strategy, creativity, technology, and media to deliver impactful campaigns.
Overview
We are looking for a Senior Strategist who gets excited by synthesising culture, client data, audience understanding and channel expertise into exciting strategies that win the trust of clients and unlock award-worthy creative ideas.
Responsibilities
- Owning the strategic spine of projects - from audience definition to measurement framework, ensuring every brief ladders up to brand and business outcomes
- Mastering primary and secondary research, leveraging tools and technology from across Iris and beyond to identify emergent behaviours and what it takes for brands to participate in people’s lives
- Synthesising at speed, distilling messy quant & qual data into sharp points of view and decks that inspire creatives, media and client stakeholders
- Leading the creation of simple, inspiring briefs that are driven by genuinely creative strategies
- Understanding and applying Participation methodology, providing clear direction on opportunities to stand apart, ride culture and move behaviour
- Owning integrated comms planning, ensuring the strategy is creatively executable across the journey, with clear participation triggers at each touchpoint
- Being a useful, involved and inspiring partner to creatives, helping them shape, stress-test and sell ideas that connect with cultural movements
- Co-piloting ideation sprints, running stimulus sessions, translating behavioural science nudges into creative triggers and stress-testing concepts against channel realities
- Providing clear objectives with understanding of how these can be measured, including participation metrics beyond traditional KPIs
- Mentoring Juniors on research techniques, strategy fundamentals, and AI-assisted methodology and synthesis

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
