Are you ready to lead a team of Analysts and drive impactful commercial strategies?
We're looking for a talented individual to join our team and take on a pivotal role in our Commercial department.
In this role, you'll support the Head of Revenue & Analysis, provide performance insights to the Executive Team, and guide commercial initiatives. You'll collaborate with Finance Teams on budgeting, work with Franchise Reporting Teams on statutory submissions, and share insights with internal teams to drive growth and data improvements.
Key Accountabilities:
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead a team of Analysts to develop and maintain the passenger revenue budget, forecasts, and long-term plans, and create models for evaluating commercial initiatives and periodic reporting.
- Business Planning: Coordinate the annual business plan cycle and ensure effective monitoring and reporting of progress against contractual obligations, business plan commitments, and KPIs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure initiatives are developed and evaluated consistently, supporting the NRC and Annual Business Plan.
- Performance Reporting: Engage stakeholders across the business to report performance against plans and influence key revenue-driving decisions.
- Data and Analysis Strategy: Define a data and analysis strategy for the Commercial Department to maximise insights from data sources, drive revenue, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Who we're looking for:
- Commercial Experience: Extensive commercial experience in the rail industry, with knowledge of revenue management and analytical principles for robust decision-making.
- Team Management: Proven ability to create and maintain mathematical models for business use, and manage teams, including those with technical specialisms.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with operational research or analytical techniques, and proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, and SQL.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Dynamic and positive individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to influence at all levels and explain commercial principles to non-commercial parts of the organisation.
- Leadership and Adaptability: Strong leadership skills to develop junior team members, adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment, and confidently challenge the status quo.
