About Corporate Strategy At LSEG
The Corporate Strategy team partners with the CEO, CFO and Executive Committee (ExCo) of LSEG to craft the overall Group strategy. It helps to resolve priorities for organic and inorganic growth across our portfolio, ensures business units and functions have strategies coherent with and informed by that of the Group, and leads strategic review and initiatives on cross-divisional and cross-functional themes.
Joining the team, you will be right in the ‘nerve centre’ of LSEG as it transitions from integration of Refinitiv to transformation into a global, multi-asset-class-enabled provider of financial market infrastructure and data – and uses its partnership with Microsoft to enable new frontiers of growth, powered by the latest in cloud and AI technologies.
About This Role
We are seeking a highly collaborative and hard-working individual to join the team as a Senior Strategy Associate. This role is responsible for supporting key annual corporate deliverables that the team produces as well as a diverse set of projects led by Directors in the team and the Head of Corporate Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to specific elements of deliverables owned by the team, as well as related investor materials
- Support a range of strategy projects, playing a key role in performing qualitative and quantitative analysis and problem-solving, framing and testing of hypotheses and delivery of high-quality written documents and presentations
- Conduct detailed analysis of company and market information to support the evaluation of inorganic opportunities
- Develop and maintain a network of relationships across LSEG on behalf of the team
Key Skills And Experience
Research and analysis:
- Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis including detailed research, testing of hypotheses and financial modelling

Thought partnership and problem-solving:
- Critical thinking and ability to tackle complex problems in a structured manner
Corporate strategy development:
- Experience of conducting market and competitive landscape assessments
- Ability to develop clear and pragmatic recommendations
Commercial diligence support:
- An understanding of the M&A process and experience supporting commercial diligence of potential inorganic opportunities, preferable but not required
Communication:
- Strong verbal and written communications skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience of preparing executive briefings
Stakeholder engagement:
- Ability to build and develop relationships with key partners and represent the team
- Ability to reach across LSEG to bring the right expertise and diversity of perspectives together based on context and business need
The ideal candidate would have experience in strategy consulting, investment banking or an in-house corporate strategy role. Experience in Technology, B2B, Data and Financial Services sectors is preferable, but not required.
