The Role
My client is a firm of engineering consultants based in the South West London / Surrey borders area.
They are now seeking a SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER who has some experience of design and experience of structural analysis across a range of building materials.
You will use design software i.e. TSD, Tedds so some previous experience of this is required.
You will provide design input associated with the preparation of technical drawings, specifications and materials.
You will work on a good range of projects for a variety of buildings using various materials.
This is a role for an ambitious senior structural engineer who is keen to come into a firm where you will Associates and the Partners and you will be able to also mentor graduate engineers.

Projects include high end residential, offices, healthcare and schools.
You will take the projects from Riba Stage 3 through to completion.
The Company
My client is a firm of multidisciplinary consultants.
They work on very high end residential, new build offices, schools, some healthcare projects.
They provide good support for people wanting to become chartered with MICE or MIStructE.
The Candidate
- You will need to have a Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.
- You should already be Chartered or be working towards Chartered status (MICE / MIStructE).
- You should have at least 3 years or more experience of working as a Structural Engineer in the UK for a firm of consultants.
- You must have some experience of using design software i.e. TSD, Tedds etc.
- You should already have experience of working in a UK firm of consulting engineers.
- You need to have a full clean UK driving license to enable you to get to remote sites.
- You need experience of detailed design and also structural analysis.
- You should be able to work on structural design across the full range of materials.
- Experience of site inspections.
- Good communication skills essential to liaise with contractors during construction and with other consultants, the client etc.

Salary will be negotiable according to your level of experience but in the region of GBP40000 to GBP70000 plus pension and a range of benefits.
