Senior Structural Engineer London

Take the Lead on Projects That Challenge You We’re looking for a Senior Structural Engineer who thrives on solving complex technical problems, delivering high‑quality structural design, and supporting others to grow. If you want responsibility, interesting work, and the chance to influence how structural design is delivered - this role has your name on it. What You’ll Be Doing Leading structural design packages for small–medium projects, or owning key design elements within major multidisciplinary schemes Producing and reviewing structural calculations, models, drawings, and specifications Applying deep knowledge of UK design codes (Eurocodes, National Annexes, British Standards) Carrying out detailed structural analysis using industry‑standard software Contributing to project programmes and providing progress updates to senior engineers Supporting tenders, fee proposals and technical scope development Introducing practical, smart structural solutions that improve buildability and sustainability Mentoring junior structural engineers and supporting their development What You Bring Chartered Structural Engineer (CEng MIStructE or CEng MICE with strong structural focus) Strong experience delivering structural design for complex building or infrastructure projects Technical expertise across: Steel, concrete, timber and masonry design Foundation design (shallow & deep) Structural assessments and refurbishment Dynamic or seismic analysis (advantageous) High proficiency in tools such as Tekla Structural Designer, STAAD, Robot, or Tedds Experience working within integrated multidisciplinary project teams Experience in sectors such as Aviation, Defence, Power or Custodial a huge plus! Knowledge of BIM workflows and Navisworks Understanding of CDM duties and structural safety CSCS card, eligibility for SC clearance, and full UK driving licence Why This Role Stands Out This isn’t a “just keep things moving” type of position.
