As our Nuclear Team in Warrington continues to grow, we are looking for dynamic Structural Engineers with a strong track record in regulated and quality-assured systems. This presents an opportunity to advance your career with a leading industry player, offering a compelling and expanding portfolio of projects.
As part of this role, you will:
- Become an integral part of a diverse and exciting team, contributing significantly to project management and delivery.
- Work closely with AECOM’s talented engineering team to provide expert leadership and technical oversight in nuclear structural engineering.
- Ensure structural integrity, safety, and reliability of nuclear facilities and infrastructure.
- Work in roles demanding sound design judgment, where engineering excellence is key.
Your Responsibilities
- Delivering nuclear design work on projects for public and private sector clients across the UK.
- Preparing detailed technical structural engineering designs.
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-profile projects.
- Managing project delivery and overseeing successful completion.
- Assisting and mentoring team members to foster their technical and professional development.

Requirements
Qualifications We Seek
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status (or working towards) with membership in:
- MICE (Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers)
- MIStructE (Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers)
Key Skills & Experience
Ideally, you will possess:
- Expertise in one or more specific structural engineering disciplines.
- Ability to prepare design work across various construction materials with minimal supervision.
- Comprehensive knowledge of design guides, laws, regulations, processes, and procedures.
- Competence in specifying work and applying results.
- Proven engineering experience demonstrating successful delivery, including influencing professional engineers and guiding technical personnel.
- Familiarity with relevant design tools, IT systems, and software.
- Strong understanding of design principles and their application.
- Working knowledge of European and American Standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Additionally:
- You should be self-motivated, able to work autonomously when required.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment, a willingness to learn, and thrive in dynamic, deadline-driven environments.
