Senior Structural Engineer
Senior Structural Engineer / Consultant – Birmingham
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer / Consultant to take a leading role in delivering high-quality structural engineering solutions. This is an opportunity to apply your technical expertise and leadership across complex projects while helping develop people and strengthen client relationships.
The Role
You will:
- Lead structural engineering projects from concept to completion, delivering safe, practical, and efficient solutions across varied sectors.
- Work independently and within multidisciplinary teams to:
- Manage design programmes
- Coordinate delivery
- Produce and review calculations, reports, and technical documentation to a high standard
- Strengthen leadership within the team by:
- Mentoring junior engineers
- Sharing technical knowledge
- Supporting continuous improvement
- Contribute to business development through:
- Client engagement
- Preparation of proposals
- Identifying repeat and new work opportunities
- Ensure expertise in:
- Steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, timber, and foundation design
- Tools such as RAM Structural System, RAM Concept, TEDDS, and AutoCAD
- Maintain compliance with relevant standards and health and safety requirements.

About You
You are:
- A degree-qualified Civil or Structural Engineer with significant consultancy experience, delivering projects from concept through to completion.
- Combines:
- Strong technical ability
- Clear communication
- Commercial awareness
- Confidence in managing multiple projects and leading teams
- Takes pride in engineering excellence.
- Enjoys mentoring others.
- Comfortable working directly with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
